Network Support Technician - Part-Time
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Network Support
Technician.
Applicants should have familiarity with Windows 2000, XP Pro
and Server 2003 as well as supporting Windows desktops and servers in
networked environment. Experience with Microsoft Small Business Server
and Active Directory is preferred. Macintosh OS X experience is a plus.
Must be a strong self-starter, able to work independently and employ
sound decision making with minimal supervision.
This part-time position starts between 10 and 15 hours per
week and is expected to reach full-time within the next year.
Job Description
Primary job duties: Responsible for providing day-to-day
support for internal and customer computer systems.
Specific day-to-day tasks may include: Virus/adware/spyware
protection and removal; Review and install software updates and patches;
Manage network users and security; Review system logs; review security;
perform disk maintenance; Troubleshoot hardware or software problems as
identified by the end user or from a system log review; Clean and
maintain hardware as necessary; Software inventory and auditing; Restore
systems from baseline image; Other tasks as directed by supervisor.
